Because GLBT People are not Second Class

Rep. Phillip D. Hinkle, R-Indianapolis has said he will not step down. Recently it was uncovered that he met with a male escort at the J.W. Marriott, and then tried to bribe the escort to keep quiet. This was the same Rebuplican Rep, that sponsored the “In God We Trust” License plates.

Hinkle was quoted as saying, “While I must admit to mistakes of judgment, I am seeking professional help on what turned me down a road of self-destruction.”

Professional help? Who’s he going to hire? The Bachmann Clinic in MN? I noticed that the local State Republicans are trying to get him to resign. I find that amusing in the fact that they won’t even resign when they are caught in all sorts of ACTUAL crimes. Talk about a double standard.

I do feel sorry for his family but not for him. My only advise to him is to be open and honest with himself. Hinkle will be much better for it. As for our state Republicans… Don’t you have some other bible verse to preach about?
