I saw this on the Yahoo News feed. “US House to end 180-year-old ‘page’ program” The link is here. After the Mark Foley congressional page incident (wikipedia link here), I just have to ask. Is it possible that as well as saving money, this is also to keep any US House Reps from getting in any more trouble then they already seem to be able to?
Lets be real for a second. We have Anthony Wiener who ends his career sending pics of himself to someone, as well as a few other politicians. In a way, it only makes sense to save the money and keep them focused on their jobs… Yeah, like that will actually happen. Either way I feel glad that the teens won’t have to be abused by the US House reps who take advantage of their position, but feel sad for the teens who actually wanted to learn about how Government works.
Guess it’s back to studying the books before the Republicans cut more Education funding.
